Oman Vision 2040

Building a Diverse and Sustainable Future

Oman Vision 2040 provides a long-term framework for the Sultanate's social and economic development. It places emphasis on a diversified and sustainable economy, competitive private enterprise, education, innovation, effective institutions, environmental responsibility, and improved opportunities for future generations.

Tourism, logistics, manufacturing, fisheries, mining, renewable energy, technology, and other non-oil sectors are important parts of the diversification effort. Oman's strategic location near major international shipping routes also gives its ports and logistics networks an important role in connecting regional and global markets.

Development is increasingly visible through new infrastructure, tourism destinations, urban projects, investment zones, and initiatives designed to strengthen skills and entrepreneurship. At the same time, environmental protection and responsible use of natural resources are important considerations in a country with sensitive desert, mountain, and marine ecosystems.

The goal is not simply physical expansion, but a broader transformation that combines economic opportunity with quality of life and cultural continuity. Vision 2040 represents Oman's effort to prepare for the future while retaining the heritage and identity that shape the Sultanate today.

Saudi Arabia

Vision 2030

Building the Kingdom's Next Chapter

Launched in 2016, Saudi Vision 2030 is a national transformation program designed to diversify the Kingdom's economy, develop new industries and enhance quality of life while building on Saudi Arabia's geographic, cultural and economic strengths.

Tourism, technology, culture, entertainment, logistics, renewable energy, sports and entrepreneurship have become increasingly prominent areas of development. Historic destinations are being restored, new cultural institutions are opening, transportation networks are expanding, and major urban and tourism projects are being developed across the country.

Projects and initiatives connected to the wider transformation range from the redevelopment of Diriyah and AlUla to new destinations along the Red Sea and major changes within Riyadh and other cities.

The result is a period of significant change in which Saudi Arabia is seeking to preserve its heritage while creating new economic and cultural opportunities for the future.
